A beautiful day and turn out with Maureen Leahy (Hub Coordinator Meadows Primary School) and Shirley Xiong (International Student Social Working) at the Hume Global Learning Centre in support of the Hume Volunteer Expo 29th April, 2015.
The Hume Volunteer Expo featured over 50 organisations and 200 volunteer opportunities. Exhibitors included experts in community groups, local government, charity, environment organisations and educational hubs.
Volunteering is an excellent way to:
– Use your talents to make a positive difference in our community
– Learn new skills
– Explore your career options and gain valuable work experience
– Meet new people
– Improve your communication skills
– Develop a better understanding of the education system
– Enlarge your world view
Meadows Primary School always has volunteering opportunities. Some volunteer positions require specialist skills, while there are many positions that you can be trained to do. By letting Maureen Leahy know what skills and interests you have and which areas you are passionate about, Meadows Primary School can match your time availability with their activities.
To arrange an interview time and tour of the programs held at Meadows Primary School, you may contact Maureen on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday on 9309-2573 or alternatively email Maureen Leahy: email@example.com.
